“ There was a long wait on a Sunday night, but we were able to be seated within 30 minutes. They had upbeat electronic dance music playing outside which kept entertained while waiting. The food came quickly after we ordered. The regular jjajangmyeon was very good and tasted delicious! It was easily my favorite dish because of how filling and savory it was. The stir fried version was also super good, but maybe my spice tolerance wasn't high enough (beware if you are not amazing with spice). I ended up mixing the two noodles together and found the flavors delightful. The sweet and sour pork was perfectly light and crunchy and the sauce was super unique. Overall great experience and very filling for a party of 4! ”
“ This restaurant often has a crowd waiting outside, and unfortunately, they don't use a phone system to notify you when your table is ready. As a result, you have to wait in the cold while they come outside to call your name. We tried the sweet and sour pork, but it wasn't to our liking. It felt unusual to pair battered pork with a sweet and sour soup as a dipping sauce. However, the meat jajangmyeon was delightful--the meat was tender, and the black bean sauce was rich and flavorful. We also added the Jjamppong soup without noodles. Though the portion was small, it was incredibly delicious, packed with seafood and bursting with flavor. ”
“ F O O D: my go to spot for comfort food just get everything on the menu. bring the gang. and feast out. you absolutely can't go wrong with anything on the menu! it's limited and for good reasoning, because every dish is made to perfection S E R V I C E: amazingly fast and nice service. i always appreciate how attentive they are. i love it when they get your order before you're even seated so right when you sit down your food is already out A M B I A N C E: good amount of seating and warm atmosphere ”
“ 9/10 Overall 8/10 food, taste, above average, slightly sweet, I'm not a high sugar person, but acceptable if fast in the morning, the rest very good 10/10 service exceptional 9/10 Ambience, crowded and limited parking, but they make it work by working efficiently Good food and will make you tummy ”
“ Checked out Paiks Noodles last night for the second time! It was just as popular as it was 5 years ago. There was a bit of a wait, but we were seated in around 20 min from when we arrived. Ambience is definitely busy and loud inside so be prepared to talk loudly with your group. Parking is tight as the lot is small so leave time to look around for a spot. Sweet and Sour Pork - nice crispy juicy pork, complemented well with the sweet & sour sauxe Chili Jajangmyeon - lots of chilis atop the Jajangmyeon, beware if you have a low spice tolerance, huge bowl of noodles Meat Jajangmyeon - nice extra bits of pork mixed with Jajangmyeon noodles, delicious and my favorite combination Beef Jjamppong - hearty & light beef broth, excellent flavors with the vegetables & noodles Paiks is still my favorite Jajangmyeon place to date! Their menu isn't big, but that's how you know each dish is made to perfection. The flavors, quantity, and quality of each dish is excellent. Another standout I don't usually comment too much on is the service. The waiter was super nice at the end and individually package all our food away into takeout boxes for us. He even politely asked us for our names so he could write the first letters of our names on the boxes so we wouldn't confuse them. He even offered us leftover jjangmyeon sauce since they throw it away at the end of the day! Usually service at restaurants is fine, but this waiter went above and beyond and truly cared for his customers. Paiks noodles -- I will be back soon! ”
“ Black bean noodles, fried pork, amazing shrimp... yes please! I've been here a few times and always order the same things. The black bean noodles are so yummy and fill a hungry spot in my soul. The fried pork with separate sauce is spot on! I'm sure I'm doing it wrong, but I dip the pork in the sauce instead of pouring it on top. The shrimp is really good. They are large, crispy and coated in a sauce that make you want to keep eating them even after you're full! Pro tip: park in the first space that you see as the parking lot fills up quickly. Even street parking could be challenging. ”
“ Friendly and quick service! So glad I finally got to try Paik's noodle after all the times my friends want to come here but the wait was just too long. I came after the lunch hour on a Sunday so the wait was around 30 minutes for the 3 of us. We were all excited to try the jajangmyeon and my daughter had the vegetable stir-fry. The noodles of both dishes were the same but the jajangmyeon definitely hit the spot for me. My daughter also commented she likes the mix of veggies in the stir-fry and gave it a thumbs up to me. ”
“ Came here during prime hour on a Saturday night, but surprisingly, the queue moved pretty fast, which was a relief! There's additional parking in the back. The portions were huge, and everything was delicious. The dishes are definitely shareable, which is perfect for groups or when you're just in the mood to try a little bit of everything. Definitely a place I'd return to! Highly recommend it for both the food and the overall efficient service. ”
“ The take out is so worth it! The containers keep the noodles from getting soggy! So clever! Get the jajangmyeon with extra meat! It's even better than the regular signature jajangmyeon! People forget that it's an option because they just order the regular jajangmyeon the meat makes it even heartier and it's a generous portion! Jajangpong was decent! Worth getting! My only complaint is that there are very few vegetable options on the menu. So get take out so you can BYOV bring your own veg. We all need fiber y'all. ”
“ I loved culinary class wars on netflix and made the mental note to check out any of the chefs restaurants when the opportunity presented itself. I was so excited to check this place out once I learned this was one of the judges chain restaurants. I went for lunch and thankfully had no wait time, we were quickly sat. As soon as we sat down they brought over water and utensils + pickled radish. I ordered the spicy jjamppong and my brother ordered the beef jjamppong plus the chilli shrimp to share. I loved my order and my brother ended up liking my dish more than his own. I ate all my noodles and made a good dent on my rice, but still had leftovers. The portion is pretty large and definitely worth the price. The chilli shrimp flavor was delish, but do wish it was a crispier. Overall solid spot, will definitely be back! ”
